(01:17) Experience: Ask what their profession-specific experience is. Project-specific experience is not necessarily as important as profession-specific experience (e.g. architecture vs construction vs interior design).
(11:43) Scope: Ask what physical parts of the project they will design, plan, and specify and not. Do not assume the architect will or will not take care of certain things.
(11:43) Process: Ask for a description of the overall project process phases and what specifically the architect will do during each of the phases. Not all architects provide the same level of services throughout a project.
(11:43) Deliverables: Ask what drawings, materials, and documentation the architect will provide. There are basic deliverables that architects should provide, make sure you will get them.
(11:43) Ask for an explanation of their contract. Do not assume short contracts are better than long ones.
