ABOUT AUDREY

Audrey is a licensed architect in the state of California, an educator, and a podcast host at the XX|LA Architects Podcast. She also serves as Vice-President of the Association for Women in Architecture and Design (AWA+D).

Audrey has specialized in residential design since 2008, and founded Sato Architects, Inc. in 2010. She is a LEED-Accredited Professional, and has a commitment to green building design. In addition, she has experience working with historic properties, having worked on homes originally designed by Lloyd Wright and Gregory Ain. In addition, Audrey has inspected almost 100 properties for the Mills Act program for the City of Los Angeles. Audrey has a commitment to education and the advancement of the architectural profession. She has served as a lecturer in the Architecture Department at Cal Poly Pomona for five years.

Audrey Sato gained an appreciation for the beauty of nature and the importance of community while growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii. While at Brown University, Audrey discovered her love for architecture, realizing the potential for design to enrich and change lives. Audrey graduated with honors from Brown University, with a double concentration in Visual Arts and Architectural Studies. She went on to receive her Masters Degree in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona, winning numerous design awards during her time there.
